This young lady was anxious with symptoms of OCD and a real fear of being sick (emetophobia) 5 months ago. She has transitioned from "burdens" a code word we agreed to describe her feelings to "Relief". She no longer has OCD symptoms and her anxiety and fear of being sick has settled down. She has come up with her own resources to enable her to recognise and deal with destructive or self sabotaging thoughts. These resources are growing stronger day by day and she has more control over her feelings and thoughts. This is work in progress and once mastered will last her for the rest of her life. She is a happier, less anxious young person; excited to get on with her life, secure in the knowledge she is harnessing her amazing strong imagination, thought patterns and processes and is able to recognise when she is over burdening herself, to stop.
